Heike graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Stellenbosch in 2015. She
completed her Community Service year in Port Elizabeth and worked in various hospitals, seeing a wide variety of conditions.
In 2017 she joined a private practice in Panorama, where she worked for 3 years. She gained physiotherapy experience in ICU, respiratory conditions and paediatrics.
She treated a variety of neuro-musculoskeletal patients outside of the hospital setting.
In 2019 she completed her Sports Physiotherapy (SPT1) post-graduate qualification where she learnt more about neuro-musculoskeletal assessments, injuries, sports and
rehabilitation. She completed a wide variety of courses including sports massage, dry
needling, strapping and fascial manipulation.
She enjoys learning more about different aspects of physiotherapy and tries to stay updated with new evidence-based physiotherapy research. She has a special interest in orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy. She enjoys spending time with her patients to offer her patients the best service, and she tries her best to make a real difference in their lives.
Because she grew up on a farm in the Eastern Cape (fluent in Afrikaans and English), she has always enjoyed being active and being outside. She loves running!
