I am an active and enthusiastic physiotherapist. I have been interested in the human body and how it moves ever since I started dancing from when I was 5years old. I studied Checchetti style ballet until advanced 2 and studied Horton and Graham based contemporary dance through my mentor. When being faced with the decision of whether to dance for the rest of my life or to study – physiotherapy seemed like an appropriate combination of them both. I am passionate about Pilates and yoga as it is a perfect combination of movement and therapy. I completed my clinical hours at a specialised
hospital in Pretoria which greatly extended my knowledge in spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, paediatrics as well as pain management.I went on to work as a spinal cord and neurological physiotherapist at Vincent Pallotti rehabilitation while completing part time hours at a private practice in Constantia. I have completed my dry needling course as well as my Pilates instructor course. I continue to teach Pilates and aqua-therapy and am currently studying a diploma in accessibility design as I am passionate about making the world inclusive.
